Chevy LS3 powered BMW E21

I like E21s, me (well I've owned four of the buggers) but it's very rare you get to see one that been radically modded. Well take a gander at this brute, I think it falls into the 'radical' catagory.
The car you see is a work in progress; it's taken over 2 years to get to this stage. The spec so far is mouth-watering:
Power comes from a Chevy LS3 engine with Tremec T-56 6 speed 'box (the same as used on the Viper, Corvette Z06, SVT Mustang Cobra, Aston Martin V12 cars) with Mcleod magnum twin plate clutch, which is good for 600bhp. A 4130 chromoly one piece prop leads to a beefed-up 7-series LSD with 70/30 lockup and heavy duty bearings. To ensure this weapon of mass acceleration comes to a safe stop, it has 335 series Willwood pro discs all round, with Willwood 6 pot billet front calipers and 4 pots bringing up the rear.
Body-wise, the top's been sliced by nearly 3 inches & de-guttered and a one-off custom fabricated body kit including arches, sills & front spoiler, all in steel. There's gonna be some more carbon goodies going on in the interest of lightness too, no doubt adding to the super-tuff look.
Can't wait to see this when it's done.
